Wildfire Snapshot: share wildfire intelligence with anyone - no login required

December 2, 2025

When a wildfire is active, information needs to move fast. But the people who need visibility aren’t always the people with platform access. Until now, sharing live wildfire intelligence often meant screenshots, forwarded PDFs, or long email threads that quickly drift out of date.

Today, that changes.

We’re launching in OroraTech’s Wildfire Solution (WFS): a new way to generate a public link to a wildfire cluster so anyone can view the incident in their browser, without the need for a Wildfire Solution account.

It’s a simple feature with a big impact: a faster way to keep agencies, incident teams, analysts, field crews, and partners aligned during critical operations.

What is a Wildfire Snapshot?

A Wildfire Snapshot is a lightweight, static view of a single fire from WFS that you can share via a public link.

A WFS user selects a wildfire cluster, chooses what to share, and generates a link. The recipient opens it in any browser and sees a clean incident view with an interactive map, focused on the area that matters - no need to log in or have an account.

Why we built it: getting the right information to the right people

Wildfire response is a team sport. Decisions happen across organizations: incident command, cooperating agencies, aviation, utilities, NGOs, researchers, media, and local communities. But in reality, not everyone who needs intelligence will have platform access in the moment. That's when our tool steps in! With Wildfire Snapshot, you can:

  • Share one link that shows the incident view you’re looking at

  • Keep everyone working from a single source of truth

  • Reduce delays caused by access requests, credentialing, or tool complexity

  • Communicate clearly across organizations - especially during fast-moving events

In short: less friction, more alignment, better situational awareness.

What you can do with Wildfire Snapshot today

Wildfire Snapshot is built to be operationally useful right out of the gate. With a snapshot link, recipients have a shared and detailed view that all stakeholders can use to plan effective response strategies and allocate resources.

You stay in control of the timeframe and information shown (up to 30 days), so the snapshot reflects the operational window that matters for the situation at hand. Because the view is read-only and intentionally lightweight, it delivers the most important details quickly—helping teams outside the platform understand what’s happening without navigating complex tools or waiting for access.

To celebrate the launch, we’ve prepared a snapshot for you to explore. Below, check out a snapshot from a bushfire in Australia:

This is just the beginning

Wildfire Snapshot is our first major step toward simpler external collaboration — and we’re not stopping here.

More dynamic and interactive sharing capabilities are planned for 2026, expanding what teams can share and how stakeholders can collaborate during incidents.

Collaborative wildfire management

Wildfire Snapshot is now live for all WFS users. This marks an important step toward faster, clearer collaboration during wildfire events. By making trusted incident context easier to share beyond platform boundaries, OroraTech is helping more teams align on the same picture: improving communication, situational awareness, and coordination when time matters most.
